Campus Phorms Prenzlauer Berg Daycare

Since 2023/24, a new building complex has been operated in the Prenzlauer Berg district, amidst residential development. It includes an integrated bilingual private school as well as a daycare center. The outdoor facilities in the courtyard of the new building block have been redesigned and implemented to create a colorful movement landscape that meets the needs and developmental stages of children. It contains all the essential stimuli necessary for development. Within the play landscapes, areas have been created for climbing, sliding, sand play, and a ball court. Colorful plinth walls, Robinia logs, boulders, as well as small planted play hills and planting areas, create a varied play and activity landscape. Robust native shrub areas and new tree plantings form the framework and serve as visual and noise barriers.

The rainwater drainage of the courtyard is carried out via line and point drainage systems, which drain into an underground infiltration trench to be constructed. This trench acts as a retention system and is connected to the existing lifting system, which is linked to the corresponding system of the entire new building complex, allowing rainwater to infiltrate locally.
